On the way to the 3-Day

Betty's Bunnies is on the way!

We are taking an amazing journey and we'd like you to support us. Thousands of women and men are going to walk 60 miles over the course of three days to raise money for breast cancer research and community outreach through Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

We are Betty's Bunnies and we are walking in memory of Betty Nichol who fought a valiant 25 year battle against breast cancer and the results of its treatment but finally lost that battle last summer (Tonya's mother), in memory of Bunny (Robin's mother) and in support of Linda Olivo who is fighting for her life now - and so many others whose lives have touched ours. We also walk in the hopes that our children will never experience the horrors of this disease, either in their lives or in the lives of yet another loved one. Together, our team is planning on raising at least $2,200 per member to help end breast cancer forever and so we need your help.

Because every woman is at risk for breast cancer - a disease that strikes at random and for which the causes and cures are still unknown - we know that every moment counts. Without a cure, an estimated 25 million women around the world will be diagnosed with breast cancer - and 10 million could die - over the next 25 years.

Please take a moment to go online to http://www.the3day.org/, and select Donate Now to search for our team. Then donate to any of the team members. If you donate online, you can spread your donation out over four monthly payments.

Thank you for your support and concern and thank you for your support for our continuing journey. We will be posting to this blog as we begin to train and raise the money to achieve our goal....and then we'll report back on the event. We are excited and hope that you'll share in that excitement and help us keep going....and going....and going....for the cure.

Tonya, for the team

P.S. Don’t wait. Please donate today.
